The Commonwealth edition of Divine Worship: Daily Office published by Catholic Truth Society has seen great success, and has already sold out its first print run. A second print run is in the works for February, and those who want a copy should not delay to place an order, given the popularity of the first.
The first printing of Divine Worship: Daily Office (Commonwealth edition) saw 1780 copies sold out in little more than two months between its September release and its official launch at the U.K. Ordinariate Festival on November 19.
Sources to the ACS say the Catholic Truth Society has produced 1,000 more books for the second printing and is taking orders now. The second printing should arrive in February 2022.
Until the first printing sold out, the CTS-produced Divine Worship: Daily Office was carried by Blackwell’s and listed by Amazon. When it is restocked, the book should be discoverable there as well by those who wish to wait to take advantage of their shipping rates.
The Commonwealth edition serves the Catholic Church’s Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham (based in the U.K.) and Ordinariate of Our Lady of the Southern Cross (based in Australia and Pacific Rim countries).
Any Catholic not bound to pray a particular form of the Liturgy of the Hours can also pray with the Commonwealth edition of Divine Worship: Daily Office.
This Daily Office book is based principally on the 1662 Book of Common Prayer Morning and Evening Prayer with additional material drawn from the 1928 English Book of Common Prayer.
The single volume office book has a leatherette cover, gold gilt pages with six ribbons. It comes to 2,000 pages in a 5”x7” format and includes the full lectionary and a selection of hymns.
Divine Worship: Daily Office (Commonwealth edition) is listed by CTS at £45 (approximately $60 USD / $76 CAD / $83 AUD). Orders can be placed directly with CTS here.
