When then-Pope Benedict XVI declared the Anglican patrimony of his newly-founded Ordinariates was a “treasure to be shared” with the whole Catholic Church, the Holy Father certainly had in mind Choral Evensong, the beautiful evening prayer service of the English Church. Now, during this COVID-19 pandemic Catholics everywhere will have an opportunity to join live and stir up their hearts with Choral Evensong services from the Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter’s Divine Office at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Walsingham.
Chorus Angelorum, a professional choir located at the cathedral of the North American ordinariate, has announced its 2020 – 2021 schedule. All services will be hosted by the Cathedral of Our Lady of Walsingham in Houston, Texas at 4:00 pm CT / 5:00 pm ET. The services will be livestreamed at www.olwcatholic.org and on Chorus Angelorum’s Facebook.
As part of our own ongoing mission to share beautiful liturgies from the Ordinariates around the globe, the ACS will also carry a live link from our homepage for each choral service from Chorus Angelorum as well.
If you live in the Houston area, you can also attend these events live at the Cathedral.
