How to Obtain the Ordinariate Daily Office Books

(Updated Aug. 1, 2021 to reflect new information on how to obtain the North American edition of Divine Worship: Daily Office)

The Anglicanorum Coetibus Society has seen strong interest from people asking where they can purchase either the North American or the Commonwealth editions of Divine Worship: Daily Office.

Here’s a quick reference for how you can obtain either edition:

Divine Worship: Daily Office (North American edition)
This is the Daily Office for the Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter and its communities located in the U.S. and Canada. It runs 670 pages, with six ribbons, and is meant to be used in conjunction with a bible. However, you won’t be able to find this edition on either Amazon or Newman House Press’s website.

The ACS has official confirmation that the remaining copies of the second printing of Divine Worship: Daily Office (North American edition) have been purchased by the OCSP chancery. There are no immediate plans for a third printing.

Individual and family orders of Divine Worship: Daily Office (North American edition) can be placed directly through the OCSP chancery. Books are $30 each, plus shipping. Bulk orders of 10 or more are discounted to $25/book plus shipping.

After receiving your order, the OCSP chancery will send a confirmation email asking for payment via their online payment portal. After the Ordinariate receives payment for your Daily Office book(s), you will receive an email with tracking notification for the package. Please direct any questions to [email protected]. 

Both printings by Newman House Press of the North American edition contained significant errata, and while the second printing fixed some, it also introduced others. The OCSP is collecting errata from these editions, but there is no new edition for the foreseeable future. In the meantime, this post details how the most significant remaining errata can be fixed.

Divine Worship: Daily Office (Commonwealth edition – Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham and Ordinariate of Our Lady of the Southern Cross)
This is the Daily Office for the Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham (for the United Kingdom) and the Ordinariate of Our Lady of the Southern Cross (for Australia and Pacific Rim countries and territories).

Catholic Truth Society is the publisher of Divine Worship: Daily Office (Commonwealth edition) and is taking pre-orders in advance of its September 2021 publication date. The “Commonwealth edition” of the Daily Office includes the full lectionary, so the use of a separate bible is not required. This Daily Office is heavily based on the 1662 Book of Common Prayer with the additional hours of Prime, Terce, Sext, None, and Compline.

The single volume office book has a leatherette cover, gold gilt pages with six ribbons. It comes to 2,000 pages in a 5”x7” format – a size comparable to Baronius Press’s 1962 Roman Missal for the people.

Divine Worship: Daily Office (Commonwealth edition) costs £45 (approx. $63 USD/ $77 CAD/$83 AUD), not including shipping and handling. Catholic Truth Society is the publisher, and pre-orders for individual copies can be placed here.
